We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We process it in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we process the personal information of individuals in the European Economic Area, we also comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

We will not keep personal information for longer than necessary, and we use it only for the purposes for which it was collected.

We review this policy regularly. Where we make significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you directly.

What Data We Collect

Information is captured through the enquiry forms on our website and campaign landing pages, and through our products and services. Website form data is provided by you voluntarily.

We may collect and store the following, as applicable:

  • Name (e.g. first name and surname);
  • Contact information (e.g. e-mail address and telephone number(s));
  • Company or organisation name;
  • The content of any message you send us;
  • Business metrics you choose to share (e.g. subscriber numbers, churn rate, average revenue per subscriber); and
  • Technical information collected automatically, including IP address and pages visited — see our Cookie Policy.

Figures you enter into the “Singula effect” calculator on our website are processed in your browser only. They are not transmitted to us unless you choose to submit an enquiry.

Why We Use It, And Our Lawful Basis

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a request you initiated), or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To provide and improve our products and services. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (operating and improving our business).
  • To send marketing communications about our products, services, thought leadership and events. Lawful basis: your consent, or legitimate interests in the case of existing business contacts, in each case with an opportunity to opt out in every message.
  • To understand how our website is used. Lawful basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

How Website Enquiries Are Handled

When you submit a form on this website, the information is transmitted over an encrypted connection to a function hosted on Amazon Web Services and is sent to us by e-mail using Amazon Simple Email Service. We send a copy of your enquiry to the relevant Singula Decisions inbox, and a confirmation to the e-mail address you provided.

Website enquiry data is not stored in a database on this website. Once received, enquiries are handled by our own team in our internal business systems, in line with this policy. We do not pass enquiry data to a third-party customer relationship management platform.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and where we are required to do so by law.

The providers used to operate this website are:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — website hosting, content delivery, and e-mail delivery of enquiries. Data is processed in the AWS Europe (Ireland) region, eu-west-1.
  • Google — website analytics and tag management, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
  • LinkedIn (Microsoft) — advertising measurement and audience matching, where you have consented to marketing cookies.

Where Your Data Is Stored, And International Transfers

Personal information submitted through this website is processed within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where a provider transfers personal information outside the UK or EEA, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and to meet our legal obligations.

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship: kept for 12 months, then deleted.
  • Marketing contacts: retained until you withdraw consent or ask us to stop, and reviewed periodically.
  • Records we are required to keep by law: for the period required by the relevant legislation.

Security

We are committed to keeping the information you provide secure. Data is transmitted to us over encrypted connections, and we maintain appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures to protect against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

Marketing And Consent

Where our forms ask you to confirm that you are happy to receive marketing communications, that consent is recorded with your enquiry.

You can withdraw consent at any time by e-mailing info@singuladecisions.com or by using the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing e-mail you receive from us. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Job Applicants

If you apply for a role with us or send a speculative CV, we process the information you give us — your contact details, employment and education history, and anything else you choose to include — to consider you for the role and, where relevant, for future openings.

Applications reach us by e-mail at info@singuladecisions.com. We do not use a third-party applicant tracking system, and we do not pass your application to anyone outside Singula Decisions.

Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in recruiting for open roles.

We keep unsuccessful applications for 12 months and then delete them, unless you ask us to keep your details on file. All the rights set out below apply to your application, and you can contact our Data Protection Officer about it at dpo@singuladecisions.com.

Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • Right of access (Article 15) — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Right to rectification (Article 16) — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • Right to erasure (Article 17) — to ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances;
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18) — to ask us to limit how we use your data;
  • Right to data portability (Article 20) — to receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller;
  • Right to object (Article 21) — including an absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time; and
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@singuladecisions.com. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact our Data Protection Officer first so we can try to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Our website may contain links to other websites. If you follow a link away from our site, we have no control over that website and are not responsible for the protection or privacy of any information you provide there. We recommend you review the privacy notice of any site you visit.
